Our boom brakes allow the boom to be easily controlled from the cockpit, without the need to go forward to set up or change over a preventer. If an accidental jibe does occur, the brake will dissipate the shock load, and keep the boom from flying across. The brake can then be released, allowing the boom to move at a controlled rate, all from the safety of the cockpit.
