New US Coast Guard AIS Mandate
Certain categories of commercial vessels operating in US territorial waters are now required to install a USCG certified AIS Transceiver. The Class of transceiver will be determined by the category of vessel. Examples of affected vessel categories: Fishing boats – Tugs – Ferries – Dredges
